Meet Our Leaders and Apply for RHC!
Before applications come to a close tonight, read about the leaders of Restless Heart Communications and what their specific departments entail.
Restless Heart Communications (RHC) is the Catholic Gators’ committee that brings Christ to our campus community through multiple digital media platforms, whether that be CG’s Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, or blog posts like these! Get to know the student leaders of RHC below: see if you would be interested in getting involved after learning what this committee is all about. The link to apply is attached at the end of the article.
RHC Chair: Vanessa Sanchez
Hi everyone! My name is Vanessa Sanchez, and I’m a junior at UF majoring in Telecommunications and minoring in Public Relations and Business Administration. Some fun facts about me are that I am originally from Miami, Florida, I love painting, and I am pursuing a career in the sports industry! This year, I am the Chair for Restless Heart Communications! I work on scheduling content for our media platform, working with my team to come up with new content ideas, and helping manage the different areas of RHC. I originally joined this committee because I saw the potential in what we could do in order to share what makes the Catholic Gators community so special. We have five main areas of interest you can work in: photography, graphic design, journalism, video production, and advertising strategy. However, you are not limited to joining just one! If you have even the slightest interest in social media, communications, advertising, or marketing, I encourage you to apply or reach out to any of our officers!
RHC Vice Chair: Katie Batteese
Hi everyone! My name is Katie Batteese, and I’m the Vice Chair for Restless Heart Communications this year! I work on increasing engagement on our platforms, implementing and brainstorming new ideas, and creating content for our organization. I’m from Tampa, Florida (go Bolts!) and am in my second-year here at the University of Florida studying media management, production, and technology. In my free time, you can find me at a Disney park in Orlando meeting a character or shopping for new Minnie Mouse ears; or I’ll be out running a 5k! I joined RHC in Fall 2021 and since then have had the opportunity to grow in my advertising, campaign, and social media skills while simultaneously sharing in a community of faith and friendship. If you’re interested in joining, please fill out the form and feel free to reach out to me with any questions!
RHC Community Engagement Chair: Ana Redington
Hi, Catholic Gators! My name is Ana Redington, and I am the Community Engagement Chair for RHC. I help communicate with students, recruit, advertise events, and create content for several of the different media outlets of RHC. If you are interested in photography, helping with blogs, or joining RHC, reach out to me! I am a senior this year studying physics. A fun fact about me is that I used to have a Catholic YouTube Channel. Also, I’m getting married next year!
RHC Community Liaison: Isabella Daulerio
Hi all! My name is Isabella Daulerio. I am in my fourth year at UF, and I am from Broward County in South Florida. Ultimately, I want to go to graduate school for physical therapy but right now am studying psychology with minors in innovation and business administration. A fun fact is that I studied abroad in Rome last fall. I am helping RHC this year as the Community Liaison, meaning I am a point of contact for other leaders when it comes to deadlines — this way, our content can be up to date, and students can know what’s going on in advance! It is my first year helping with RHC so I am still learning, but I enjoy taking pictures and writing and have a desire to help. More specifically, I have witnessed a rise in social media use, especially among college students, and wanted to help ensure Catholic Gators is effectively reaching as many people as possible with their advertising of events. Social media has definitely become a popular way to spread information quickly to a large audience, but it is a lot of pressure and there is a lot of preparation that takes place before something is actually posted. If you have an interest in social media, taking pictures to be used on social media, writing for our blog, or simply in being a helping hand, don’t hesitate to apply for RHC or contact one of the officers!
RHC Editor: Brooke Davidson
Hi there! My name’s Brooke Davidson, and I’m a sophomore majoring in journalism. A fun fact about me is that I am a triplet! In this committee, I am the Editor of Restless Heart Communications. In this position, I plan out, copyedit and design the blog posts for The Epistle as well as advertise them on our Instagram. I joined RHC last year to combine my passion for writing with my desire to live out my faith. If you want to meet fellow Catholic Gators and exercise your creative muscles with like-minded students, I encourage you to apply to our committee!
Do you feel like the Lord is calling you to one of these unique opportunities? You still have time to be considered! Click here to access the RHC application before it closes at midnight. All skill levels are encouraged to apply!
